REGISTRATION NOW OPEN for 2026 Missouri Nurse Advocacy Day!

The 2026 Missouri Nurse Advocacy Day will be delivered as a live, in-person event at the Capital Bluffs Event Center on February 25, with an afternoon spent at the Missouri State Capitol networking with legislators.

Missouri Nurse Advocacy Day is intended to increase awareness of the political process for all nurses and nursing students. The event expands participants’ understanding of the legislative process and provides them with effective techniques for advocating for their patients and practice. This event will focus on why legislative advocacy is important, identifying the Missouri Nurses Association’s key legislative priorities, as well as sharing what is needed from each nurse in the state to be successful at the Capitol.

Please Note:

1) Please make note of the location change for this event. This year's event will be held at the Capital Bluffs Event Center located at 1616 Oilwell Rd., Suite B in Jefferson City, MO. We provide shuttles to take attendees from the venue to and from the State Capitol.

2) Nursing contact hours will not be awarded this year. 

AGENDA

The February 25 program will begin with exhibitor networking, an overview of legislative priorities and what we hope for attendees to accomplish at the Capitol, as well as a special guest speaker, followed by an Advocacy Recognition Luncheon (for all in attendance). 

Attendees will then head to the Capitol and spend the afternoon visiting with legislators, monitoring the floor debate, hearings, etc. and taking in the splendor of the Capitol building. Attendees will have access to shuttle to take them to and from the Capital Bluffs. 

MONA Advocacy Leaders will be available at the Capitol in the 3rd floor rotunda between 2-4 pm to address questions and hear about the day’s experiences. Registrants who participate in the State Capitol Scavenger hunt have the opportunity to win a prize.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

Pre-registration is required for participation in the event. 

We offer two ways to register – 1) as an individual and 2) as a group or school.

The deadline to register is February 2, 2026. No registrations accepted after February 2, 2026.

Individual Registration
Individuals seeking to participate and register on their own, not with a school or group, may register online.

Group & School Registration
Schools of nursing and specialty groups seeking to participate in the event together as a group have two registration options. Groups of 20 people or less may register online. Groups of 20 or more must register using the Group Registration Form and corresponding Group Payment Form below. Online registration is not an option. See instructions below:

Smaller Groups of 20 or less
Smaller groups may register online by clicking the Register Now button, or complete and submit the Group/School Registration List and corresponding Group/School Payment Form (forms below) to our office for processing. Register groups of 20 or less online by clicking the Register>> button in the upper right

Larger Groups of 20 or more
Please complete the Group/School Registration List and corresponding Group/School Payment Form below. Both forms are required. 

The Group/School Payment Form will ask you to identify the total number of students versus faculty participating along with payment information.

The Group/School Registration List will ask you to identify each individual in your group by first and last name, address, email address, type of registrant (MONA Member, Non-Member, or Student), dietary restrictions and if you wish to opt out of sharing your contact information with exhibitors/sponsors. 

Please submit both forms to our office for processing. We will communicate details about registration and the event to the individual identified as the faculty/group liaison on the forms.

REMINDER: It is important that payment be in the form of ONE check (no individual student payments please), money order, or ONE credit card covering all attendees from the group/school.

HOTEL

We have setup a hotel room block on February 24, 2026 at the Best Western in Jefferson City. The room rate is $128.31. Spots are limited, please make arrangements early. The deadline to book a hotel room is February 2, 2026.

Missouri Nurse Advocacy Day will provide an excellent opportunity to network with nurses and nursing students and faculty.

Registration and exhibits open at 7:30 am, the program begins at 9:00 am, with the Advocacy Recognition Luncheon rounding out the morning, and exhibits will close at 1:00 pm. Participants will not be returning to the venue after 1:00 pm, except to return to their cars to head home.

The deadline to register is January 25, 2026. Exhibit space is limited, so please register as soon as possible so we may reserve a table for you.
